Hi,
So I purchased a Pavilion Gaming 15-dk10000 Laptop (8VD49AV), a couple of weeks ago. It had Win 10 Home installed on it.
I ended-up installing Win 8.1 PRO 64-bit, without taking in consideration that there might be hardware that doesn't have drivers for them.
I didn't do a system restore back-up.
How can go about obtaining drivers for the Laptop running 8.1 Pro 64-bit. Or am I better obtaining a DVD from HP that has the OS with which the laptop came.
Thank you.
Paul

Hi:
There are a few devices that don't have W8.1 drivers, as none were ever developed by the hardware manufacturers.
See if your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use that utility...
HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7) | HP® Customer Support
If your notebook is not supported, you can use the media creation tool to reinstall W10 for free.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
Or you can order recovery media from HP at the link below...
