Hi @2jackreeper,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’ll guide you through enabling DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) on your HP Omen 16. DSR is an NVIDIA feature that allows rendering games at higher resolutions and downscaling them to your native display for better image quality.

1. Check NVIDIA Control Panel

  • Right-click on your desktop → NVIDIA Control Panel
  • Go to Manage 3D Settings → Global Settings
  • Look for DSR - Factors and DSR - Smoothness
    • If missing, proceed to the next steps.

2. Ensure Display Is Not Cloned

  • Go to Display Settings in Windows
  • Make sure your laptop screen is set to "Extend" or "Primary", not cloned.

3. Force NVIDIA GPU for Display

  • Open NVIDIA Control Panel → Set PhysX Configuration
  • Set the PhysX processor to your NVIDIA GPU
  • This may help route rendering through the discrete GPU.

4. Try Enabling DSR via GeForce Experience

  • Open GeForce Experience
  • Go to Settings → Games → Check if DSR options are available under game optimization.

5. Rollback to Older NVIDIA Driver

If DSR was available before, try rolling back to a previous driver version.

  • Visit NVIDIA Driver Downloads
  • Choose a version from early 2025 or late 2024
  • Install and check if DSR appears

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
