Hi,

I have a problem with the scrolling speeds of my touchpad, i have done some research and seems to be a common problem among ELAN touchpads.

I started using an old PC, HP ZBook 15v G5 Mobile Workstation, and all the drivers are updated.

The scrolling seems more or less thine with windows explorer and maybe other internal apps, but when used outside of it, the speeds are insanely high and making it impossible to use it properly.

I have tried every setting available.

Tried fixes:

-adjusting the mouse scrolling lines

-adjust the sensitivity

-adjust the settings withing ELAN touchpad Settings

-Tried using an old driver 11.2.11.3 , i believe to be the original driver it comes with, installed in the device manager when browsing my pc for drivers.

I have seen in several places the fix of going into regedit and changing inside of the touchpad HOTKEY... Scroll Control Mode entry from 0 to 1, but this entry does not exist in my computer. My current driver is 21.2.28.7 rev A, the lastes HP gives for my notebook. I have hypothesized that with an older driver i may be able to find the Scroll Control Mode entry in the regedit to be able to change it and maybe get it working properly, however i do not have a old driver and i cant seem to be able to get it from a reliable source. I am not entirely sure what to do to fix this annoying issue, but if there is a solution available i am all hears, however i would love if you could give me an older version (older than 21.2.28.7 rev A) that may be able to be fixed through regedit. If there is a more recent driver without this issue or anything else.

Thank you for the attention,

Bernardo Macara
