Elitebook Ultra

Hi,

I have just recently purchased the Elitebook Ultra. My setup is two external screen connected to an HP USB-C G5 dock. They are running 2560x1440 and 3440x1440. It is the same setup as I used with my previous notebook without any problems.

I have started to experience that my external screens go black. Sometimes they turn on again after about 15 seconds and sometimes they dont. If I open the laptop then the internal screen works fine as does the external LAN, mouse, keyboard etc. It is only the screens that go out. If they do not come back on by themselves, I have to disconnect and reconnect the dock.

I have tried updating the drivers, BIOS and checked the Windows event logs and cant find anything that can point me in the right direction. My first thought is the GPU gets overwhelmed or the USB-C controller (but then the mouse probably shouldnt be working).

Do you have any ideas?

@Jagger1981

What is your Elitebook Ultra  machine ?  Not ALL USB-C ports are the same, USB-C port on this machine may NOT have same specs as your previous machine.

Regards.

I am using the back one that has a 40 on the USB-logo.
