Just the other day I noticed that my emails were no longer syncing on my laptop in the app that's at the bottom of the screen (the white envelope). I tried deleting the account and re-adding it and now NOTHING is even there! Not any of my folders or previous emails.. just nothing.

Wondering what to do? I haven't updated anything that I know of, so not sure why this would suddenly be happening. Email is working find if I go directly to gmail on chrome and fine on my phone.

Which email account (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo ... ) do you use. You have to set this up from your account. I've noticed my Gmail accounts (mine and my wife's) has been out of sync on my Windows 10 computer, no problem on our phones and tablets. From there, I think must be something to do with Windows 10 updates and Gmail. I don't bother to look at this now.

It's a gmail account and I haven't ever had an issue with it before! Not sure why all of a sudden it isn't syncing. Since deleting it and adding it back in again I don't even have the stuff from before (I used to have everything up until Feb. 9). Now there is nothing - not even my folders on the side, just the basic Inbox, archive, deleted items, etc.

Hi,

I did say same thing with my Gmail accounts under Windows 10 and I don't bother to look at our BIG BROTHERS are playing around with users/customers.

Apologies for jumping in unannounced.

 @banhien

My gmail has always acted strangely -- partly because of the manner in which I have it set up in gmail for forwarding and such.  Not worth discussion -- the account is used for other than a main mail account.

Accessing gmail in Windows Mail:

Sometimes when the setup balks (again, I suspect this is mostly my own fault), I do have to click the "sync" circle-arrow in the Windows Mail to kick gmail into going to check / bring mail into the Windows Mail App.

I did find this:

Windows Mail > Settings wheel (at the bottom left of the Windows Mail window) > Help

Opens Windows Mail Help > Click tab General >

Question "Where are my email messages or events?" >

Click the link in the question to open article:

Where are my email messages or calendar events in Mail and Calendar for Windows 10?

This article appears to have more / all to do with Outlook -- the general information may be at least partially relevant to using the gmail Pop client (adding gmail to Windows Mail).

Meh.  Windows Mail remains largely a mystery to me.  On Windows 10, I use Windows Mail as a means to quickly check in on several mail accounts that I use.
