I am new to community as I recently purchased a HP Laptop 15-db0xxx with a Ryzen 5 2500U with 128 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD and 8 GB DRR4 2400.
The graphics seemed washout because of the 125% default setting. I set it to 120% and color /washout decreased. 110% is great but for a 15" screen it would be a problem for me. The current video driver is Radeon Crimson 17.7 / 23.20.826.2304 with a release date on Hp site as June 08, 2018. I am using it for IRONCAD2018DCS, a 3D software similar SoidWorks and I am so please compare to my old 17" i5 2400 with a Nvidia GT520M. However there some issues running the Beta IC2019DCS and I wnat a newer driver at least on the Adrenalin version with relive running to forward issues experienced on screen.
I also upgraded the unig to 16 GB replacing the single Hynix 8GB DDR4 2400 with a pair of Kingston DDR4 2400 to prevent any incompatibility issue mixing ram brands. Ofcourse I followed the HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance.pdf
I do hope the resolution on this forum will allow me to run the Vega 8 at its potential.

Hi Ron,
That finally work. II first confirmed that 18.7.1 was installed, so next was doing the ccc2_install. After installed it flashed that no AMD display was intalled and checking with device manager yielded that it was on microsoft basic dispaly. I was able to install the rx vega driver and it all went well thereafter.
Thnak you!

Please note to get it settled you have to set hardware update to this as it remove the setting I just have done with my HP 15 db0xxx. The Windows update sense the hardware change and updated what it should. I have to put back the 18.7.1 driver and cc2 install.

FYI I'm currently running Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-18.10.1-Oct18 on my 15z bq-100-cto after updating from Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-Edition-18.7.1-July19.
I'm using Edge, Chrome, NetFlix, Witcher 3 and Unreal Engine 4 based programs.
