HP Laptop 14z-dk100
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Recently purchased this laptop, have a 5-ish year old Epson printer which still functions with MacBook Air and old WIndows laptop, printing with no issues.

Even when try to print a test page, get 'printer is in error state' - no solution I"ve found online or troubleshooter changes this.

Any fix?

No fix from the notebook side.

  • Printer might benefit from a power reset (however that works on an Epson)
  • Printer might not care for your new notebook Windows 10 version (likely Windows 2004)
  • Printer might be holding on to some bit of archaic connection information - at the least, it might need to have the connection set to "network defaults"

Solution:

Go to the Epson Printer Support site, open the support area for your printer, and see what is available...
