Hi @tontonbrico

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It appears you are having difficulty installing a specific HP USB driver on your Windows 11 operating system. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Compatibility and Update Checks

Check Compatibility: Ensure that the driver you are trying to install is compatible with Windows 11. Sometimes older drivers may not be compatible with newer operating systems.

Update Windows: Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is up-to-date with the latest patches and updates. This can often resolve driver compatibility issues.

Driver Installation Steps

Download Latest Driver: Visit the official HP Support website to download the latest drivers that are compatible with Windows 11. The driver you mentioned seems to be quite old (6/24/2018), and newer versions might be available.

  • Go to HP Support and search for your device model.
  • Find the compatible driver for Windows 11 and download it.

Run As Administrator: After downloading, right-click the installation file and select "Run as administrator." This can sometimes resolve permission issues that prevent drivers from installing.

Alternative Solutions

Device Manager Method:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Windows Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
  • Find the device for which the driver is needed, right-click on it, and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Browse my computer for drivers" and navigate to the location where you downloaded the latest driver.

Disable Driver Signature Enforcement:

  • Sometimes, Windows 11’s driver signature enforcement may block older drivers. You can temporarily disable this to install the driver:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
    • Type bcdedit /set nointegritychecks on and press Enter.
    • Restart your computer and try installing the driver again.
    • Remember to re-enable driver signature enforcement after installing the driver by entering bcdedit /set nointegritychecks off in Command Prompt.
