I have tried the fix on my Envy M6, it does not work.  Is there any other help?

Greetings @EWGray

Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are getting an "AccelerometerSt.exe – System Error" on startup, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Have you tried to update all the drivers using HP Support Assistant?

Request you download the softpaq from this link and install it on your computer.

This should resolve the issue you are facing.

Let me know if this helped.

I tried the method described in this post, however it never worked; I've read some faced this behaviour after upgrading to Win10 however I was already in Win 10 :s , anyway the way I solved this is via the following:

Since the log I was getting said that the file "accelerometerdll.DLL was not found" I just tried to search it and found it in the following path: C:\Windows.old\windows\System32 then I just copied it to the path: C:\Windows\System32 and reloaded the laptop and I don't get the message anymore.

I hope this solution help others.

I uninstalled HP 3D sucessfully.

Is it really necessary to reinstall it?   I am using Windows 10.

I'm not really sure how old this thread is but I hope someone responds to this. I did what you said would work and unfortunately it came back as an error on Startup. I don't know what this does but I do know lately that my computer has been going crazy and acting up when I try to connect to internet and it's telling me not to turn on my firewall even though I've never turned it off. I pray that someone responds to this because the steps given to me unfortunately did not fix my problem.
