Hi @Hamz_1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your laptop is having trouble completing the boot process and is prompting you to press F1 to continue or F10 to enter the BIOS setup. Since you've already reset the BIOS to defaults and updated it, here are a few additional steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Boot Order:
- Enter the BIOS setup by pressing F10 (or the appropriate key for your system) during startup.
- Look for the Boot Order or Boot Priority settings and ensure that your SSD is set as the first boot device. This will help your laptop boot from the correct drive.
Verify Drive Connections:
- Make sure that your SSD is properly connected. Sometimes a loose connection can cause boot issues. If you’re comfortable opening up your laptop, check the connections or have a technician do it.
Run a Diagnostic Test:
- Many laptops have built-in diagnostic tools that can help identify hardware issues. Check if there's an option to run a diagnostic test from the BIOS menu or by pressing a specific key during startup (often F12 or Esc).
Check for Errors:
- If there is an error message accompanying the F1 prompt, note it down. It might give you clues about what’s causing the issue.
Repair Boot Configuration:
- If your operating system is not loading correctly, you might need to repair the boot configuration. You can do this using Windows Recovery tools. If you have a Windows installation USB or DVD, boot from it, and select “Repair your computer” then choose “Startup Repair.”
Inspect BIOS Settings:
- Double-check the BIOS settings to ensure that all configurations related to the SSD and boot sequence are correct. Look for options like “SATA Mode” and make sure it's set to the correct type (AHCI is common for SSDs).
Reset BIOS Again:
- Sometimes, resetting the BIOS to default settings can be a bit finicky. Try resetting it once more and ensure you save the changes before exiting.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
