@Alan082012, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The error code 0x80070103 typically indicates that Windows is attempting to install a driver that is already installed or a less compatible version than the one currently present. Here are some steps to resolve this issue:

Update Drivers Manually: Go to the HP support website and download the latest driver for your specific device model. Make sure that it's compatible with your version of Windows.

Device Manager: Open the Device Manager on your computer. Look for the device causing the issue, right-click it, and select "Update driver." Then, choose "Browse my computer for drivers" and navigate to the driver you've downloaded.

Hide the Update: If the update notification continues, you can choose to hide it using the Windows Update settings. This option will prevent the update from reappearing.

Uninstall Conflicting Drivers: Sometimes uninstalling the previous version of the driver and then reinstalling the latest one can resolve the error.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
