Hi, somehow my "Support Assistant" managed to update my BIOS to R71 without my consent.
I hate this version, because it disables the FN lock key feature, an issue known for a long time and not fixed yet. But I need normally functioning "F..." keys for my work!
I once managed to downgrade my BIOS to an earlier version, but I can't find a location for the appropriate files. Can anybody help? Thanks a lot in advance!

Oh my... that easy! I have been there but didn't care to click on the arrow-triangle. Thank you so much, TTDM! 😘
Yes, I think the issue has come back, since the realease date of my version is May 11.
I'll try to work my way back now and will report to you. (If you don't hear from me, there will have been a power loss while flashing... 😂)
Thanks again!

So, I have tried all earlier BIOS versions now. Unfortunately, none of these have been able to bring back the FN lock that has been working until a few hours ago. 😓
F5 keeps muting the audio instead of updating the screen, unless I hold FN, and the FN key LED will not light up.
I'm fed up for now, but thank you anyway. There seems to be another issue, no idea what it is.

Well... my problem is now solved and I feel like a dumbo big way! 🤐
Somehow, I didn't manage to press the keys in the correct order: first FN, then left shift.
The current BIOS version is fine. Sorry if I caused any confusion und thanks again for your help, TTDM!

Hello Marcus

happy to know you found the way to use FN keys and it's not a BIOS issue.

bye
