HP ENVY Laptop 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with my brand new HP ENVY 13. I received the laptop yesterday but have had issues with every game I have played since getting it. It runs perfectly fine for the first fifteen minutes of play and then the framerate drops greatly (from about 65 to 25). The fan blows very aggressively and the laptop heats up but I checked the core temps and they all appear to stay ~70 or a bit below. I also checked the CPU and GPU levels and neither are above 50% when the fps drop happens. My laptop specs follow:

HP ENVY Laptop 13-aq0xxx

Intel COre i7-8565U @ 1.8 GHz 1.99 GHz

8 GB RAM

Intel HD Graphics 620

NVIDIA GeForce MX250

It appears to me that all drivers are up to date (BIOS and graphics cards).  Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Most likely due to heat. After 15mins, machine will be hotter. Please keep it cooler. Please try
