Hi,

After installing Win10 & HP updates 11-2021 this portable is making my crazy.

Noise, Fan.

There was "System cooling, Active/Passive" selection  before in win10. Not anymore.

Now this runs Cpu 70-90 deg C just using firefox.

How can I set this back to Passive mode -->>> reduce CPU speed instead of using FAN?

Does this has 1 or 2 two fans? If  2, only the right side fan works???

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I have gone through your Post and would like to help.

As I understand the Fan is always on with your HP Laptop PC. This model has 1 Fan on the right side.

I have a few recommendations to fix this issue:

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS F.18 from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
