Hi there,

I would like to change speed of my fan, but looks like I'm stuck with it.

I'm tried to find something in BIOS about fan speed, but there is only one option - Fun always enabled - Yes/No.

After that, I thought it would be good to update the BIOS, maybe then additional options will appear, but I can't find where to download updated version of BIOS for my laptop.

Also I have downloaded SpeedFan program, but it can't find any Fans in my Laptop.

Anyone have an idea how to control fan speed ?

@Valdis41

By "changing the fan speed", I presume what you want to do is SLOW it down, not SPEED it up, right?

If that is the case, I recommend you leave it alone -- as forcing the fan to run slower is only going to overheat the processor and lead either to thermal shutdown issues, or burn up the processor.

I do not plan to load the processor with a slowed fan.

I have found the solution, it calls NoteBook FanControl.

At my risk.
