Microsoft Windows 11

Hi ,

So , yesterday , I got this update called "Alcor micro card reader driver" in HP support assistant  , I tried installing it  but it just fails all over , the second time I install it a dialog box pops up and asks to press next containing information about the update and it installs , but the support assistant is not sure whether it installed or not , it was asking me the status whether it installed or not . Please help with this problem . The model of the laptop is : HP 14s - dy2501tu . Specs are : Core i3 1115G4 , 8GB RAM , 256GB SSD , Windows 11 Home . I manually tried updating it using HP support's website , but again the same thing .

I think the issue is coming from Windows 11. Windows 11 has had issues with driver updates and very compatibility issues. Most websites and forums advise against installing Windows 11 at the early stage of its development.

The best bet is to try installing Windows 10 if you are up to it, Windows 11 can be quite problematic. I was using Windows 11 until I decided to install Windows 10 as it is quite stable compared to Windows 11.

If you still want to keep Windows 11 and work out the driver problem then try to use Driver Booster or Driver Pack Solution. I will provide both links.

Oh, I see, Windows 11 works though but it could be better.
