If you did so, the post failed to include the information.

Generally, the answer might be "No", though the context of your question is very important.

 

Perhaps tell us more about why you believe you would be charged.

 

  • What is "remote scan feature"
  • What is your printer model?
  • What is the name of the application or the name of the software?
  • What is the type of scan?  That is, is the scan type standard PDF, Searchable PDF, Photo / Image?

-- Important --

  • Do you have -- and have you enabled -- the optional HP+ service contract?  While there is no charge for enabling the service or the contract, enabling HP+ does include requirements for both HP and you (the customer).
  • Reminder >>  HP+ and Instant Ink are NOT the same service -- different animals.

 

HP does not typically charge for HP drivers, apps, or software.
