Finding Compaq Presario C767TU drivers

Hello,

I have recently picked up a nice Compaq Presario C700 from my uncle. I installed and updated everything in Windows Vista and it still works great. But I wonder to know if HP used to release Windows 7 (both 32/64bit) drivers for my laptop or just Vista (32/64bit) only. My laptop model is C767TU and it has a Qualcomm Atheros wifi card. I need drivers for W7 in case Vista becomes unstable in the future. Hope you hear from you here. Thanks.

Hi:

You can use the Vista drivers from the C700 Intel base model on yours.

Download HP Compaq Presario C700T drivers for Windows Vista, BIOS (helpjet.net)

They should also work on W7 too.  HP never released any W7 drivers for the C700 model series.

You need to install this Atheros wifi adapter driver in order to connect to the internet.

Hello Paul, thanks for replying. I always feel satisfied when asking for a problem. If HP didn't release any W7 drivers for Presario C700, theb I'll just go with Vista for better driver support and Vista still works fine after being fully updated.

This reputable site might be easier to use because it describes all of the drivers and not just the file numbers.
