Hi @Hussein__ ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your fingerprint sensor and camscan (assuming you mean the camera scan or webcam), follow these steps to download and install the necessary drivers for your HP Pavilion 15 laptop:
Download and Install Fingerprint Sensor Driver
Identify Your Laptop's Model Number:
- Check the bottom of your laptop or inside the battery compartment to find the exact model number of your HP Pavilion 15.
Visit the HP Support Website:
- Go to the HP Support website.
Enter Your Laptop’s Model Number:
- In the search bar, enter the model number of your laptop and press Enter.
Select the Correct Model:
- If prompted, select the correct model from the list.
Go to the Drivers Section:
- Navigate to the "Drivers & Downloads" section.
Select Your Operating System:
- Ensure you select the correct operating system (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11).
Download the Fingerprint Driver:
- Look for the "Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices" section.
- Find the fingerprint sensor driver and click on "Download".
Install the Driver:
- Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
Download and Install Webcam Driver (Camscan)
Repeat Steps 1-6 Above:
- Follow the same steps to navigate to the driver's section for your specific HP Pavilion 15 model.
Download the Webcam Driver:
- Look for the "Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices" or "Driver-Graphics" section (the webcam driver can sometimes be under different categories depending on the model).
- Find the webcam driver and click on "Download".
Install the Driver:
- Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
Additional Troubleshooting
Windows Update: Sometimes, Windows Update can automatically find and install the necessary drivers. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager (right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager).
- Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark (which indicates a driver issue).
- Right-click on the device (e.g., biometric devices for the fingerprint sensor, imaging devices for the webcam) and select "Update driver".
HP Support Assistant:
- Download and install the HP Support Assistant from the HP website.
- Use it to automatically detect and install the latest drivers for your laptop.
