How can I set up my fingerprint scanner in Windows 10 (version 1803)? It doesn't show up under Windows Hello in Settings.

If the fingerprint scanner hardware driver is installed, then the only suggestion I can offer, would be to try the latest W10 simplepass software and see if you can use that.

This package contains the HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software for the supported notebook models and operating systems. This software protects identity information and account access using the computer owner's fingerprint.

I ran the .exe, and then it installed and then closed. How do I find the settings?

If you are writing about the Simplepass software, I have never used it before, so I don't know how it works.

 

Isn't it listed in the all programs menu, and showing up right at the top of the list of recently added programs?
