The after last Fire 8 Tablet update the tablet asks for printer password by default. The printer has never had a password. Not a case of forgetting, etc. If you have Fire Tablet and are blocked from using printer that has no password call[content removed] and tell them to fix their update. I could set a password for my Office Jet Pro but do not want to. I want any visitor here to access the printer without having to give them the password. I can connect using no password from my laptop no problem. See article about it at https://the-digital-reader.com/2012/05/05/warning-latest-kindle-fire-update-turns-on-passwords-by-de...

I cannot determine what you want or need from the Community.
It sounds like you know the solution but choose not to implement that solution. ?:
Create a password.
Next, post the password on the printer, on the front door to your house / office, and on every social media exchange. Send the password to your friends, colleagues, any potential clients. Include the password on your business cards. Let everyone in.
Reminder: You should not post your password "here" - there are scammers, thieves, and worse trolling the Internet looking for victims. Opening yourself up to that kind of attack could be considered digital suicide.
Letting everyone into your "stuff" sounds dreadful to me - IT people do NOT like to leave the gates open.
That said, it seems simple enough to tell the world the password - most people want the exact opposite. Smiling.

I just wanted anybody being blocked from their printer w/out using a password can call Amazon to talk to a person and tell them to fix their update.
Having Amazon forcing me to establish a printer password is unacceptable. Who do they think they are?
