My husband has a new HP Envy laptop with a Windows 10 system. When he writes an email in Outlook, if he moves the cursor, the font size of the entire text changes, This doesn't happen all of the time, but does this often and always unexpectedly. Any advice on how to fix this?

Outlook and Office Word share some of the same characteristics / options used in creating documents.
Try the following:
While writing the email, move the top tab (in the ribbon) to OTHER than tab "Format Text".
Why?
If you have the Format Text tab active at the top ribbon,
If you have text selected (and in some cases even if not),
Then
Rolling the cursor over the Styles option (available in the Format Text tab) causes the text to change.
Is that what is happening?
Not sure, though it is perhaps somehow related to that sneaky Styles setup.
