Free McAfee of hp omen 15-dh0022tx expired?

I just bought my hp Omen 15-DH0022TX on 11 October 2020 but when I opened it, the McAfee security was expired It was never opened but it was expired. I thought that was free. Will I not receive the free McAfee?

You won't "receive" it separately because it came preloaded on the PC along with everything else.

I don' recall how long the trial lasts -- 90 days or 30 days, but it is likely tied to the warranty date -- which is set when the PC is BUILT, not when it is SOLD.  So, if that is the case, you will need to contact HP to register your PC to reset the warranty start date to when you bought it.  While discussing this with them, ask about the McAfee issue.
