My laptop is model 14-fq0013dx with Windows 10 s-mode. After the second day of using it, it started freezing up. Unable to move cursor, clock stops, etc., it continues for several minutes. It will eventually come out of its frozen state on its own. Sometimes the screen goes black and comes back. After many conversations with tech support (even had to pay $40 even when under warranty), they suggested getting out of s-mode, resetting, etc., it is still happening.
Anyone else having this issue and/or are there ways to fix it.

You must test ram modules.
1. Open bottom case and take out one memo modul (just one if you have a couple )
2. Turn on your lap top and watch. If there is still a problem with the screen image freezing, repeat step 1 and nsert the memory module you just removed take out the other one (the memory module left in the laptop after step 1).
Turn on lap top again, and if machine works fine, you have a cause of your problem out of machine. But, if there is still a problem exists, then your ram modules are all right.
-- Second problem maybe is a battery. Take out battery from machine and let it works on ac/dc adapter, You will see, if the problem still exists, then the battery are all right.
-- Third reason is the most worst and it is a motherboard. Then you must go in HP authorized service in your neighborhood.
