Hello!
I'd just bought this Laptop as my secondary and travel choice PC. HP Envy X360 15-Ee0013no
I can say this is one heavy beautiful crafted laptop I've ever come across in a slime look.
last Laptop was a Raze blade 15 and it had a lot of thermal and thermal throttling issues. (hit over 90 degrees)
this Envy highest thermal peek at 70 degrees . a huge +++ on my part.
Anyways on to this topic I have in mind.
- The bios is very basic here, there is nothing you can change or would like to have in the Bios like example disable hyper threading. if you disable it you can save up some more battery sense it only got 51 W. the idea why you only need the core not the hyper threading "users choice"
- A CPU configuration option could be nice
- Power & performance option
At lest these bios options for users to play around without brick the computer of cores
I see potential of this laptop that it can handle it for sure.

Options like the ones you mention are typically in the Advanced BIOS section -- and HP has locked those out, by policy.
As to future BIOS updates, HP provide no schedules or indications for this so we have no idea when, or if, they intend to do this.

BIOS updates are published either to address security issues or to add new hardware support -- such as newer processors. HP is not going to publish a BIOS update to unlock the Advanced Options -- so there is no point in waiting for that.
