Getting Cyberlink software purchased with laptop(OEM?) to install

HP Recommended
Example: HP 17Zlaptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased bundled Cyberlink software with this laptop that I purchased in Dec. 2018 and have been trying unsuccessfully to install the software. It will not accept the product key as valid. Cyberlink says it is HP's problem as it may be a hardware issue but I can't get HP to help without paying for support. Any suggestions?
