Getting this message when I attempt to open LockDown Browser

After installing Respondus LockDown Browser, I get the following message when I attempt to open it:

"This program can only be launched from a link in another browser."

hp elitebook 840 g3, windows 10 (64-bit)

Any ideas how I can get around this?

This software is not developed by HP, you'd have better luck getting in contact with the developers of the program.
