HP Rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen
Microsoft Windows 11

Every answer I've seen to this question is incorrect. So for anyone searching and frustrated, I'm here to help! 🙂

To get the buttons to work you need to go to the HP app (might be called the myHP app on some systems). It should be already installed on your HP machine, if not go here. Older devices might have HP Pen Control app already installed so you can use that instead.

In the HP app, go to the devices, tap the tip of the pen on the screen and it should appear as a device in the app (see below). It will not appear until you get the pen tip close to the screen. Then, once you click on your device, you will have options to customize the buttons and they will work. You should not need to open the app again. Also fixed the sensitivity for me.
