HOW TO SETUP THE FINGER PRINT LOGIN ON MY HP SPECTRE X360 WITH VEGA?

3 REPLIES 3
HP Recommended

Hello @AMPAT99,

Assuming you're not running into actual issues with drivers or setup, this is how you would setup a fingerprint on your Windows 10 laptop:

  1. Search or open Settings
  2. Navigate to Accounts
  3. Select Sign-in options
  4. Scroll down to Fingerprint
  5. Select Set up
  6. Go through the setup process

Otherwise, if a fingerprint driver is needed, a specific model/product number would be appreciated. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Forum)

Information on how to find a laptop's model/product number is detailed in this HP document.

Best regards,

Eddy

THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE FINGERPRINT READER...

My windows 10 device health detects a problem with the driver and cannot fix or update the driver. This is not working.

Secondly, I just bought this laptop and HP is showing my warranty only for 8 months. This is not correct. How do I update it.

Hello @AMPAT99,

Umm, in what way is it displaying the issue. Device Manager, certain error code?
