Hi:
I just checked HP's FTP site and sp48315 does not exist.
Did you try the drivers on this revision history tab?
I still don't understand why the driver I posted back then didn't work since it has support for the hardware ID you posted i the setup information file.

Hi:
Please post the hardware ID for the wireless card that needs the driver.
To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the device listed as a Network Controller with the little ? mark next to it.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.
Post the string of characters that you see in the window that starts with PCI\VEN

Hi:
You were right about it being a broadcom card...a 4313...
Here is the XP driver you need for it. Don't ask my why the description is in French on the English support page...:smileysurprised:
Ce package contient les pilotes des cartes WLAN Broadcom répertoriées pour les systèmes d'exploitation indiqués. Les pilotes prennent en charge la norme 802.11i/WPA2 pour les cartes WLAN a/b/g et parfois b/g. Pour les autres types de cartes, ils prennent en charge la norme WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access).

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try manually installing the driver.
- Click Start, then right-click My Computer (or Computer) and click Manage.
- In the Computer Management window, on the left, click Device Manager.
- Click the + sign in front of the device category for which you wish to install the driver.
- Right-click the device, and select Update Driver. The Hardware Update Wizard opens.
- For using Windows Update, select No, not this time and click Next.
- Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and click Next.
- In the window for search and installation options, select Search for the best driver in these locations, and select the Include this location in the search check box.
- Click Browse, and navigate to the folder that contains the driver files, which will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp48616. Click OK when this folder is selected.
- Back in the Hardware Update Wizard, click Next. Windows will search for the driver and install it automatically. When the installation is complete, click Finish.

You're very welcome.
Sorry that driver isn't working for you,and I don't know why.
As you can see from this partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file, driver support for the hardware ID you posted is included in this driver...
