Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, i just bought a new laptop. The HP Laptop 15-fd0851nd - 15.6 inch - Intel Core i5 - 16 GB - 512 GB.

Yesterday i installed it for the first time and immediately on restart it gave me a 90b error. And it was very hot. So i let it cool down started it back up again and watched youtube for 5 minutes en shut it down to see if the error was still there and it was.

Now i did some updates in windows . And im not sure if there was also a bios update and shut it down.

Now today i started it back up to see if the error was gone and it was. And when im stress testing to see if the error comes back the fans work again i think. They make noise at least and when the temp is around 90 they make a lot of noise.

What is the best option. Going back to the store to ask for a replacement since i bought it less than a week ago. Or is the issue fixed?

Hi @Geo126

if there is no error I see no reason to return the laptop to the store, it is normal that under a stress test, the temperature reaches 90 degrees and the fans spin very fast.

Thanks @Resistencia for the reply, But it isnt weird that it happens after the very first installation, without doing anything and before stress testing? Are there other ways to check if the problem is fixed?

This usually happens, that's why there are BIOS updates, to solve these problems,  press the F2 key several times when turning on the device, the diagnostics appears, then run all tests and see if they pass.
