Sign into the notebook / system using your manager's account (or have him sign in for you)

Ensure the account can be accessed with a typed in Password or PIN.

Try it - log into the computer using the password; then proceed.

Do not remove the software until it is verified that the account login can be accessed via password.

Worried?  Create an additional (local) account on the computer that provides administrative access.  If it all "goes sideways", you will still be able to log into the computer.

On the Desktop > Check the Taskbar >

If Client Security is pinned to the Taskbar > Right-Click on the icon and UNPIN

Windows key (open Start Screen) >

Click the three horizontal bars at the top left to allow you to see the Apps list >

Scroll down to "S" > Open category Security and Protection >

Right-Click on Client Security >

If the Tile is Pinned to Start:  UNPIN from Start

Right-Click on Client Security > Uninstall

The computer must be rebooted after the uninstall procedure is complete.

Nope, is not pin to either. Tried pinning to each and then unpinning to see if that would help. NO same error.

Oh....laptop is running Windows 10 Pro

OK, Client Security icon not pinned to Start Screen or Taskbar...

Ensure there is a separate administrator account on the system that is not under Client Security control and that the account has verified login access to the system using a typed password.

Use that "admin" style account to log into the computer

Windows key > scroll down, open Security and Protection > Click (open) Client Security >

When program opens, provide fingerprint or Windows password to gain access to the program >

Click the Settings wheel Settings_Wheel_2.JPG  > Click Users > Click Yes in the UAC to allow the program to continue >

Click on the Manager's account name / icon >

When the Summary for the account opens > Click Delete User (right side)

Repeat for accounts tied to the security program.

From the Client Security Help file:

To delete a Windows user from HP Client Security:

1.
From the HP Client Security Home page, click or tap the Gear icon.
2.
On the Advanced Settings page, click or tap Users.
3.
Click or tap the name of the user that you want to delete.
4.
Click or tap Delete User, and then click or tap Yes to confirm.

When I open security manager, screen says congratulation you have successfully setup software. Only button is the finish button. When I click that everything closes. Reopening just repeats same thing. It a real FUBAR I think...

Sounds suspiciously like FUBAR.

If you cannot open the program and get to the gear (settings wheel) for the purpose of removing the Users from the program, then the program is apparently damaged from previous attempts to remove it, the program is locked in some way I don't recognize (possible), or is perhaps the program is not responding to the admin account you are using.

"Locked in some way" -- Having been burned badly "doing things I ought not", I do not any longer use disk encryption / surekey setup.  If your system requires a BIOS level login, then it is possible that the Client Security program is locked down in some fashion.  CAVEAT:  I don't know if that assumption is even remotely reasonable -- and I won't test it.

There are lots of Installer error mentions on the 'net that you have no doubt seen already.  If the problem is one of general "cannot uninstall", then the issue is in the Windows Installer.

If the problem is "just Client Security", then the Installer is OK but it cannot grab and trash this particular program.

I can offer the following last few ideas (likely duplicates what you have seen):

Revo Uninstaller - Free

(Scroll down toward the bottom of the page to download the free version)

More "uninstaller" programs:

Remove stubborn software from your Windows 10 PC with these tools

If you have been keeping / creating regular Restore Points, you might be able to shove the system "back in time" to before you first tried to remove the Client Security program for the purpose of accessing the program in an undamaged / unaltered state (to remove "users").

(How to) Create Restore Point

Stop all programs:  Browsers, games, Applications, etc.

Control Panel > icon view > System > System Protection

Click (Highlight) your main disk (C) > Select Create a Restore Point
