At present I get seamless operation of Fingerprint recognition with IE. With Chrome it works but I have to reload the Extension each time. At present it is not supported by Microsoft Edge. Since IE is being phased out, Client Security needs to be supported properly on another Browser.

Alternatively, is there a Browser that Fingerprint Security is fully supported, and how is this achieved ?

At this writing, Client Security V9.3.9.40 supports Chrome and Firefox.

Open Client Manager Dashboard > Password Manager >

tab Browser Integration  (to install extensions for supported browsers)

tab Passwords (to manage passwords / websites)

tab Setup to Manage prompt and key combination to open

Find your Client Security Help file on your computer:

C:\Program Files\HP\HP ProtectTools Security Manager\Bin\Help\en\hpsecmgu.chm

or

C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP ProtectTools Security Manager\Bin\Help\en\hpsecmgu.chm

(Ignore the warnings about opening the chm file - this is part of the client security installation.)

Thank you for your reply.

Still struggling with the extension in Chrome. It needs to be constantly reloaded.

I tried Firefox, and have loaded the extention but the log in icon does not appear at the top left corner.

I guess the Edge version will come - I just have to wait.

Many thanks again.

Sorry, not much of use to add to what I have posted...

I am running Avast Premier -- this software tends to "play well" with other security softwares (including HP Client Security) with the caveat that things can get weird and trip over each other if you are not careful with the settings.  Check your security software settings - where?  No idea, every security software is different.

If you don't already have one, try adding an actual Firefox USER-ID setup.  Not sure if this will impact your situation; in my case, several old issues dissapated when I created the Firefox userid.  (This was a while ago -- likely at least ten versions of FF have come and gone since then...)

Chrome has its own rules about just about everything.  I use it -- I am a wary fan.  No idea what to do about Google and their love-hate affair with all things "not Google".  If you are not "logged in" to Google, try that.  Chrome may behave itself if you are logged in and Google can "see you".

Edge is still a bit of a youngster (in my opinion).  Edge works when nothing else will budge -- of course, you cannot add anything much to it and that is likely the reason Edge is generally less troublesome.
