Lately I cannot access HP Command Center. I have tried googling help to get it working again and have had no luck.
The "download" in Microsoft Store does nothing for me.
Please, HP, give me an answer to get it working again.
Thanks.

Hi @cbauer50,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're unable to access the HP Command Center on your HP ENVY x360 Laptop, here are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Check for Windows Updates:
Ensure your system is fully updated as missing or pending updates can sometimes cause software issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Reinstall HP Command Center:
Since you mentioned that downloading from the Microsoft Store doesn't work, try reinstalling the HP Command Center directly.
- Uninstall the current version:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Locate HP Command Center, click on it, and select Uninstall.
- Reinstall the app:
- Open the Microsoft Store and search for HP Command Center.
- If the download button is unresponsive, try restarting your PC and attempt the download again. Alternatively, you can visit HP's official website to download the latest version.
Run the Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter:
This can help resolve issues related to the Microsoft Store.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Windows Store Apps and click Run the troubleshooter.
Check HP Support Assistant:
Sometimes, HP Command Center issues are tied to HP software in general. Open HP Support Assistant (you can find it in the Start menu) and check for any updates or fixes for your laptop.
Check for Background Processes:
Ensure that no processes related to HP Command Center are stuck.
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and look for any HP Command Center processes.
- If found, end the task and try to relaunch the app.

Reinstall the HP Command Center through Device Manager:
- Right-click the Start button, then select Device Manager.
- Under System Devices, find any HP-related entries (like HP System Event Utility or HP Audio Control).
- Right-click and choose Uninstall Device, then restart your laptop. This may trigger the reinstallation of the necessary drivers and software when you restart.
System File Checker (SFC) Scan:
Corrupted system files might be preventing the app from running.
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator (search for cmd, right-click, and select Run as Administrator).
- Type: sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will scan and repair any corrupted files.
After performing these steps, try accessing HP Command Center again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
