HP Consumer Notebook PC BIOS Update (88FF, 8900, 8901, 8902, 8912), when updating drivers via HP support site I download and attempt to update the bios, but the updater says I don't have enough space and to make some room. I saw somebody had solved it but can't find the step by step.

If your EFI partition has the HP folder and it stores BIOS files, you can delete them to make more free space. See this thread for how to do it.
You can also use a workaround by booting the system via the BIOS recovery boot method to update BIOS from a BIOS recovery usb drive.

A BIOS recovery usb drive contains BIOS update utility and update BIOS files (BIOS .bin file and signature file).
