HP ENVY Notebook - m7-n109dx (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)

-6500HP Envy M7-n109dx, Intel I7-6500U. HP Diagnostics prog. won't start. Yields the message "Windows cannot access the device, path, or file. . .". Above that error message is this string: C:\Program FilesWindows/ AD2F1837.HPPCHardwareDiagnostics Windows--". That string cuts off because the small error box is too small to show the full string. I have: used HP Support Ass't. to show "You're up to date on all drivers, etc.". However, I viewed what BIOS versions were available. Mine is Insyde F.25. I see BIOS F.50 and F.52, both with more recent dates, available for manual installation. I then checked the Intel site for chipset updates, using the Intel Chipset updater program. It returned that there were no Intel drivers or chipset updates I needed. I've run Windows 10 Home 64bit update and am fully updated. I've also run various diagnostics (Windows file errors, hard disk errors for Samsung 500G SSD, etc.). None of these diagnostics return any errors. Note that this message is a followup of mine in Nov.'22. I performed all checks suggested in your reply to that. Note also that I work slow.

PS:  I also can't use the Nvidia Control Panel; when I try to open the app, I get a similar error message. I'm removed, re-downloaded, and re-installed both the intel Graphics control panel (for Intel GPU 520) and the Nvidia GPU 900M). Therefore, I can't use the Nvidia GPU, because you can only choose which GPU is active from within the Nvidia control panel. (NVidia says this is an Intel problem.)
