Pavilion DV2400

Is something fubar'd with HP's driver page? i came across an old HP Pavilion (DV2400) laptop and I need to access the drivers page.

When I go to here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv2400-entertainment-notebook-pc-series..., it doesn't show any dropdown options to select an OS so i can't proceed! **bleep**? I tried from multiple computers, different browsers, using my phone internet, a work computer, etc. all give the same result. Now I tried the page from a similar model (DV2000) , and the page loads there, but it only shows Windows 11 as an option, which also makes no sense as there is no way it supports that OS. Any help? Is there a URL of the driver page to get around this stupid dropdown menu page?

Hi:

HP retired support for the dv2400 model series a few years ago because it has exceeded the 10-year support limit.

You can probably get the drivers you need from this reputable 3rd party website, but you will need to enter the exact model number of your dv2400, or at least know if it has an Intel or AMD processor.

If you can't find it, the drivers from the dv2000 CTO should work.

HP Pavilion dv2000 CTO drivers (driverscollection.com)

HP only supported the dv2400 model series notebook up to Windows Vista, so those would be the most recent drivers.

Do not attempt to update the BIOS unless you are running a supported operating system (XP or Vista), or you run an excellent chance of permanently wrecking the notebook.

If you need help finding any missing drivers, let me know, and I should be able to assist you further, but not until tomorrow morning.
