Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I owned an HP ENVY for 4 years and was happy with it. I first started problems with the battery. Now I cannot get it to open up. Since I could not upgrade to Windows 11, I decided to buy a new one rather than fixing it. I bought another Envy Laptop. Everything was running smoothly for the first couple weeks. I download from ancestry

to Family Tree Maker. I optimized thru the support assistant and the next day my files were gone and I could not download my tree again as I had done prior to the optimazation. Ancestry gave me a message that it possibly was trying to download to a read only file. I went in and changed it from a read only file. It still is not allowing me to download the file again. I did not have this trouble with my prior computer and as I have said, I downloaded it when I first purchased this notebook. I want to avoid this problem in the future but at present have been umable to correct it!
