Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a secondary user account on my HP Envy that another person uses for work. The keyboard will randomly act as if filter keys, or function keys, are enabled/activated - so keystrokes cause unintended things to happen (such as scrolling with the mouse acts like its control + scroll.. causing zoom). I have disabled every possible setting that would cause this to turn on otherwise (filter keys, sticky keys, and other accessibility-related settings). This will randomly happen as well. There are some days when the keyboard works perfectly fine and there are other days when after about 30min of use the keyboard acts out.

I haven't been able to find an exact fix for this problem and unfortunately, the laptop is no longer under warranty. The only quick fix for this is to connect an external keyboard which will often have a similar issue (most times not, though). Another note: switching user accounts will sometimes remedy the problem. I noticed that when using a different user account, the keyboard issues go away which has led me to believe that this is software related rather than the keyboard needing cleaned (which has recently happened).

Thanks!
