Product: HP EliteBook 830 G5 Base Model Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
I am experiencing an issue with the touchpad on my HP EliteBook 830. The touchpad is not functioning properly — it often becomes unresponsive or feels like it’s "leaving" or not registering touch smoothly.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Verified touchpad is enabled via touchpad toggle and Windows settings.
Updated and reinstalled the touchpad driver via Device Manager.
Checked BIOS settings to ensure touchpad is enabled.
Cleaned the touchpad surface gently to rule out physical obstruction.
Ran HP Hardware Diagnostics; issue persists.
Despite these steps, the problem remains.
