Hello,
I am having some driver issues with my HP laptop. The model is HP Envy 15-q004tx and product number is J3Z14PA#ABG. The factory OS was Windows 8.1 but I decided to install Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) on it. After the normal installation, I used Windows update to install some of the missing drivers. Afterwards, I downloaded 'HP Support Assistant' software which detected and installed some other drivers. I also downloaded some drivers manually from my device's HP support page here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-15-q000-notebook-pc/6936209/model/7169946?s.... I believe the reason I'm having to hunt for drivers from different sources is because the laptop initially have no support for Windows 7.
Right now, I have many of the drivers installed and working but I am still having some driver problems with my device as according to Device Manager. There's an 'unknown device' under Other with hardware Ids:
- ACPI\ACPI000E
- *ACPI000E
I can't seem to find the driver for it, even after installing the chipset driver from the link above. The error code given by Device Manager is "code 28", drivers not installed.
The other problem is with a sound device named 'High Definition Audio Device', it shows this error in device manager: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
I have tried reinstalling the driver from the link above with no success. In device manager, i seem to have another sound device name 'Realtek High Definition Audio' with no problems and I think this is what makes my speakers work. The current driver installed is Provided by Microsoft with version 6.1.7601.17514. The hardware Ids are:
- HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2807&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000
- HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2807&SUBSYS_80860101
If I could get an updated driver, the device should be able to start up.
Lastly, I have installed the Synaptics driver from the HP support page linked above and all of the touchpad features work except 'Momentum'. The current driver verison is 18.0.6.2 by Synaptics. The momentum feature worked just fine on Windows 8.1
I hope I can get assistance with these issues. If any other information is required, I'd provide. Thank you

You're very welcome.
My mistake...This is the driver I was referring to.
Try to manually install the audio driver from the driver file if the auto install doesn't work.
This package provides the driver that enables the Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. If high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

Hi:
There are W7 drivers on your notebook's support page.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-15-q000-notebook-pc/6936209/model/7169946
You have to change the operating system by clicking on the change button if it doesn't land you right on the W7 page.
The audio device you are missing is installed by the Intel graphics driver. The device you are missing is the Intel HDMI audio chip.
If the auto install method doesn't work, manually install the driver from the device in the device manager, by browsing to the graphics driver file which, after you run it is located in C:\SWSetup\sp66502. Make sure the include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
There is no W7 driver for the ACPI000E device, so you will have to live with it the way it is.
The driver is included in W8.1 and W10, much the same way the DVD drivers are automatically included in Windows.
You can see this discussion where I zipped up and attached the driver but it didn't work.
Unfortunately, I can't help you with the touchpad issues if you installed the driver on the support page, and it didn't work completely.

Thanks Paul.
Yes, the OS was already set to Windows 7 on the said page.
But I still cannot find some of the other drivers. Please can you provide a link to the Intel graphics driver and Intel HDMI audio chip which would fix the missing audio device?
The verison of the 'Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver' on the support page is lower than the one I have installed which is installed by Windows Update. And it isn't sp66502 as you've stated. I would really appreciate a link to the sp66502 executable you mentioned. Thank you
As for the 'Alarm Wake' driver, I guess I would leave it as it is then. Thanks
