Thank you I will try that tomorrow as I have to take my wife into surgery tomorrow and need to sleep I hope that works as it is again hard to find those cable on eBay   but unless you want the ribbon cable which will not work

OK i turned it on and don't show up I took the main hard drive and plugged it into the connector of the second hard drive and did not see it so I guess it must be a bad connector on the motherboard ?
