@xxalazin wrote:I Know it is tempting, but it would have to able to overwrite ANY existing BIOS including the F20. If it screwups Well you know.... Right now my machine is running super smooth, I think of the bird in the hand thing...... I don't wish anyone to lose their machine... Sent another BIOS request to HP again got told support would contact me.. last time never got contacted.....I don't expect to hear anything....If you or anyone tries this let me know good or bad, and I wish them good luck....
I'm on F19 so not sure if it will overwrite that. It's nerve-racking enough flashing an official BIOS nevermind a who-knows-what modded one.

AMI AFU has no read/write access to the bios flash. I think HP has its own signed version protected by keys and magic. I tried many times and different versions of AFU, it can't even detect the bios model, it gives a read error.
No way to downgrade.
Probably SPI flash could be a way, but it's way too easy to fry the board or to make some system device not work, for example for breaking keys in the embedded TPM.

I knew it was too good to be true. I don't want destroy my machine. Like I said I keep posting feedback and support to no avail... Well at least mine is stable. I don't want to even post what I think of this company............

I opened a ticket with AMD, they suggested me to try DDU to reinstall 19.3.1, the result was that now after every startup I surely get a random BSOD, in a random time before or up to a minute after login. The BSOD can be either CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT or THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER. I ran DDU again to restore the 22.19.655.1, since it has no sense to me to try getting this version to work.

Just wanted to let you all know I just got a request from elevated support for further information on my machines issues. I let them have it both barrels about their falure as a driver and BIOS supplier and other QC issues. i doubt it will accomplish anything but who knows?

To anyone with issues, The only thing that worked for me was a complete scratch install of windows 10 vesrion 1809. it literally fixed 90 percent or more of my problems. Dont' install any HP software MS update will install everthing. Thenn DDU the video driver and install the latest AMD mobile Ryzen drivers.....

Just updated video driver, clean uninstalled old driver and installed newer, after an issue with touch screen solved updating some drivers, i disabled windows update if enabled its automatic, all is working well with F.19 bios and 1803.
There is also a nice new option in display settings, now can adjust contrast gamma saturation and other things, always found the display a little poor in saturation and now can adjust it a little
