HP Spectre x360 - 13-ac063dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I no longer have the HP IR camera driver installed in my Device Manager after an update. This is causing facial recognition issues as I log in. I can't find the HP IR camera driver on HP's Customer Support Platform for my product (HP Spectre x360 - Windows 10 64-bit). How do I find the driver?

Hello @SM_27

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

In most cases, the simplest solution:

=> Use Windows Restore to return to the restore point before the error occurred.

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-system-restore-windows-10

See section < How to recover using System Restore on Windows 10 >

Thank you for this! Unfortunately, this did not help and my problem of not being able to sign in using facial recognition persists.

Hello @SM_27

Have you used this function successfully in the past ?

I want the check your current system configuration...

(1) Run    msinfo32

- Select <System Summary>:

- copy/paste to following key/values pairs:

OS Name

Version

System SKU ( equals HP product number (p/n) )

BIOS Version/Date

I found this on HP website itself.

Reinstalling the IR camera driver might resolve the issue. Uninstall the driver in Device Manager, and then reinstall the driver from HP Customer Support. Using the search box on the taskbar, search for and open Device Manager.

Hope this helps.
