HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 Base Model

Since yesterday the hot keys (F3, F4 and F9) for the screen brightness and microphone no longer work. A small window opens with the heading “HP Hotkey Support”. All other hotkeys work.
I reinstalled HP Hotkey Support, but to no avail.

Unfortunately, reinstalling HP Hotkey Support didn't work. While your hotkey issues seem specific to brightness and microphone (F3, F4, F9), it's also possible the HP Software Framework service is affected.

here is how you can fix this(same issue with me last month):

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
Type services.msc and Enter.
Locate "HP Software Framework" service.
Right-click it and ensure it's set to "Automatic" startup type.
If the service is stopped, right-click it again and select "Start."

Follow-up: The solution posted here (archived link) worked for me.

The steps are:

(1) Go to "services"

(2) Find "HP Hotkey UWP Service"

(3) Right click and choose "Properties"

(4) Change startup type to "Disabled"

(5) Restart computer

(6) Install Hotkey Support again from this link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp91501-92000/sp91903.exe

(7) Restart computer

Thank you for helping with the great solution . I followed these steps and it works from first time even though before seeing yours I installed the latest driver of the hotkey support and making some steps to stop the service but it doesn't work . I appreciate your contribution with the easiest and final solution of this problem.
