We purchased this laptop from Sam's Club in 2018, I believe. The laptop has always been slow, but has been almost completely inoperable for the past 4-5 years. Within minutes of booting up, the CPU goes to 100% usage and everything comes to a halt. Looking on the internet, this is a VERY (!) common issue with this laptop / build and none of the recommendations that I have seen made from HP seem to resolve the issue.
For a company as big as HP to sell a product that has issues that can't easily be resolved is absolutely ridiculous.
If anyone has had this issue and has successfully resolved it, I would greatly appreciate knowing how you did so.
Thank you,
Brian
