We are using the HP MIK with MECM/SCCM. Specifcally we are using Patch Assistant to create an inventory of our systems drivers/firmware. The issue we have is as follows:

  • We can get the inventory working against the latest reference data from HP but we wish to use a custom baseline/reference image file like we can do with HPImageAssitant when running it directly.

How can we do the same with Patch Assistant in MECM/SCCM?

Hi  @shocko,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are using HP Manageability Integration Kit (MIK) Patch Assistant with MECM/SCCM and would like to know whether Patch Assistant can use a custom HPIA reference/baseline XML file in the same way that HP Image Assistant (HPIA) can when run directly.

However, I was unable to find documentation indicating that HP Patch Assistant within HP MIK/MECM provides a supported option to specify or import a custom HPIA reference XML file for inventory, compliance, or remediation operations.

I would recommend reviewing the latest HP MIK User Guide and, if needed, engaging HP Commercial Support   team to confirm whether this capability has been introduced in a newer release .

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
