Recently I discovered my battery had issues to the extent that it could no longer hold for a minute.. So after a month of abandoning the pc I discovered the sound is not working and control key misbehaving so I went to replace the battery and reload the windows but after reloading the windows I discovered that the function Keys that controls the brightness, volume, mute 🔕 and others even including the one that ON/OFF the backlit are not working. I don't know what is actually wrong, I have tried to update the keyboard driver but telling me no new update.. Please kindly assist me

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer if you have all of the hardware drivers installed (graphics, audio, etc), would be to (re)install this software which controls the Fn keys...
This package contains the HP System Event Utility, which enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed. For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information. This software works with the supported operating systems.
