Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Messages Received: " Power Source: AC Power Status: Plug-in, but battery isn't necessarily charging Power Plan: HP"

                                       "The system has detected the storage capacity of this battery to be very low"

Notes: The back battery area is damaged and unable to 'lock' therefore not fully charging the battery.

Question: Can this be repaired? Is a replacement battery needed? Or both?
