I have a Mac and connecting to the OfficeJet 8020 has been nothing but fully of connectivity issues 90% of the time I try to connect. This is the first time I am unable to resolve after trouble shooting.
The issue was that the scanner would not connect via the app on the computer. Both devices were on the same wifi. I tried the trick where you login via Safari (not Chrome). I logged in via Chrome as well. I restarted the router. Restarted the computer. Nothing. This is over several days. I tried to update the firmware and I get an error - "This Firmware updater does not contain upgrades for your device"
So I deleted the app completely. And now there is no option for redownloading.
Please assist. (The contact page on HP is also experiencing an error)
***NOTE - the printer is connected fine. I can print from my computer. But I have trouble with the app and therefore can use no other feature of the HP device.
